Easton Omen Bat review summary:
Of all the Easton BBCOR baseball bats, I would have to say that the Omen was the best Easton BBCOR bat, and hands down winner for me. I happen to prefer a balanced weighted bat like the Omen, over the Easton BBCOR Rival. Of the three Adult bats that Easton offers, the Rival out performed the Surge in a larger sweet spot only, and therefore gave the Rival the edge for me, but with the Easton Omen in the pack, you can have the best of both worlds. The Easton Omen is a two piece BBCOR bat with the largest sweet spot offered in their BBCOR family. Because it is a two piece bat there was virtually no vibration when swinging the Omen. It has a balanced swing weight, so the barrel of the bat travels through the zone easily.
Because it is the best BBCOR bat Easton makes, I hit more baseballs hard in general due to its more lively barrel. I can not say I hit any ball harder with the Omen than I did with the Surge or Rival, but what I can tell you is that I hit the ball hard more often. It all comes down to swingability and the Omen BBCOR has it.
