Pros: At first I thought the glove was a bit tight.
I loosened the laces, hit it with a rubber mallet and oil it.
I have used this glove all year and made some very good stops at 3rd base with this glove.
The glove is initially stiff but you must break the glove in before you play
Cons: Initially very stiff and needs broken in and oiled.
Does it take a while to break in and is does 14" feel big?

The Dynasty series leather is a soft leather and will not take long to break in. 14" is a rather big mitt, but will ultimately come down to personal preference.

Does this glove allow you to use a "shift"? (two fingers in the pinky slot)

This glove is not particularly made to have 2 in the pink but if you have smaller or thinner fingers it can work.
