  • Pros: 7 year old hits it as good as new aluminum or composite and with as good pop and distance without the hand sting he has a new $250 bat and he takes the wood to the plate every time great bat at a reasonable cost

  • My son is age 9-1/2 currently uses a 31/18 (-13) and 29/19 (-10) composit bat. What size wood bat would he need to get? He is 4 foot 7 inches and weighs 67 pounds.

  • It will depend on how strong your son is. Most youth wood bats are a -7 (differential between the length and weight) and a 31" would be about a 24 ounces and a 29" would be about a 22 ounce.
