  • Pros: I had the Cat 5 and I can't tell the difference between the two bats. I had the alloy Marucci from last year and it was awful. This is so much better and has tons of pop so far.

  • Pros: Pretty simple one piece aluminum bat but it gets the job done. I prefer this bat over the louisville 516 because this bat is more balanced.

  • Pros: Bought this bat for my son, according to him he had a faster swing with more pop.
  • Cons: The only issue is that the bat is only available in white. By the end of the season we will have to replace the grip tape because it will be filthy.

  • Is this bat anything like the 5150 and does it have more pop then the 5150? What is the trampoline effect?

  • The Cat 6 and the 5150 will be very similar as they are both one piece alloy bats. Neither one will really have a trampoline effect as that is a 2 piece bat quality. The Cat 6 and the 5150 will have similar "pop".

  • The Marucci CAT 6 BBCOR Baseball Bat -3oz. MCBC614 is a single piece design of alloy and will not have a trampoline effect. If you are looking for bat flex we recommend a two piece bat design such as the Easton S2Z or the Louisville Slugger Select 715. If a stiffer more traditional bat is what you desire, then the CAT 6 will be for you.
