2015 Easton Salvo Scandium Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA USSSA End Loaded SP15SVS

Introducing the 2015 Salvo Scandium for slow-pitch! Easton constructs this bat with a Single Piece Design, crafted with 100% THT100 Scandium Alloy material. This Scandium Alloy is a very durable aluminum material and gives off a sweet ping sound upon contact with the softball. This Salvo Scandium is preferred by power hitters, as it has an End Loaded Swing Weight, allowing more mass to meet the ball at impact for increased hitting distances. The 34”/26oz comes with a 1oz End Load, the 34"/27oz comes with a 2oz End Load & the 34”/28oz comes with a 3oz End Load. Lastly, this Salvo Scandium has the 1.20 BPF certification and is approved by USSSA, ASA, NSA, ISA and ISF softball associations.

  • Pros: For leagues that dont allow composite softball bats, this is the go to bat right now. The Anderson Flex is very nice too. Instant pop out of the wrapper. Great bat at a good price.

  • Pros: Not much. I was used to the white steel but since they discontinued I thought this would be the next best thing. It wasn't.
  • Cons: The bat doesn't have that much pop. It also cracked the first at bat I used it in. I used it in bp and it was ok. Nothing beats the white steel. The 26oz is also very light even tho it is end loaded. Felt more like a balanced bat. I personally wouldn't buy this bat again. Hopefully demarini starts producing the white steels again

  • Pros: Good pop right out of the wrapper. My team has not used many metal bats, but this one has been working well. The whole team has used it for two games with no complaints.

  • Pros: Nice endloaded bat that has a thin handle and a nice whip at the end of the swing. It can certainly hit some hard shots out of the wrapper but you have to be a hard swinger to start. Once the bat had 50-100 hits on it, it really has started to open up. The sound of the bat has changed and the bat's feel has shifted to a more heavy feeling thunk to a light spring and better exit speed.

  • Pros: One of my singlewall league bats. Feels more balanced than end loaded, and much lighter. Needs some cuts to break it in, and eventually the ball will drive much harder and further.
  • Cons: Grip feels too thin. Changed it to Lizardskins which makes the swing feel comfortable on my hands.

  • Pros: Great bat. Although it is "endloaded", the bat feels nicely weighted and not top heavy at all. I love the one-piece design and thin gauze grip. If you play in a single-wall alloy league, this bat is worth the extra money compared to cheaper alternatives. I like it better than the DeMarini White Steel.

  • Pros: Borrowed a buddies during batting practice and loved it. Small hands so thin handle fits perfect. One of the most comfortable bats I've used with plenty of pop from day one. Good balance for a end loaded bat 26oz.

  • The 2015 Easton Salvo Scandium Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA USSSA End Loaded SP15SVS is a 1-piece, 100% aluminum bat that has a strudy, traditional feel. The 2013 Easton Salvo CONNEXION Slowpitch Softball Bat SP12SVC A113187 was a 2-piece, Half and Half (Aluminum barrel, composite handle) bat that had a bit more flex but reduced vibration felt in the hands. The similarities between the two are that they both have strong, end-loaded 12" barrels while being approved for all softball associations.
