Description

The Strato is a one-piece, all-alloy BBCOR bat engineered to be as light through the zone as the rules allow. Axe machines the barrel from its Armor Alloy using what it calls Precision Variable Blastwall: three radial grooves cut into the heart of the barrel plus more than ten other wall-thickness regions, alternating thick and thin so the barrel stays stiff where it needs to while shedding weight. A carbon-fiber HyperWhip end cap — Axe's strongest and lightest — takes more weight off the far end. Axe quotes a 33" M.O.I. around 9050, which is why it calls the Strato its lightest alloy BBCOR ever.

This model carries the standard Axe handle: the asymmetric, axe-shaped knob that seats the bottom hand at a set angle and puts the barrel's hitting face into the pitch. Under the bottom hand sits Endogrid, an elastomer layer that cancels vibration before it reaches the palm — which is what makes a one-piece alloy bat this thin livable on a cold day. 2 5/8" barrel, -3, BBCOR .50 certified, one-year warranty.
