Rawlings Softball Bats

(13 products)

Rawlings fastpitch bats run from the Halo, the new two-piece composite at the top of the line in -10 and -11, through the Mantra, Mantra Plus and Mantra Reverse composites and the Alo 78, to the Eclipse, Kraze and Ombre for younger hitters at $69.99 to $149.99. All are dual-stamped for USA Softball, USSSA, NSA and ISA.

The Mantra has been Rawlings' answer to the Ghost for several seasons: a double-wall composite with a lot of pop and a balanced swing. The Halo is the new one: a gapped double-wall barrel with a foam Halo Ring on the inner barrel that kills feedback, a Rebound Lock end cap, and a lower-compression face that is responsive out of the wrapper.

Rawlings Softball Bats

Halo vs. Mantra: the Halo is newer, evenly balanced, hot out of the wrapper and priced at the top of the line; the Mantra is the proven bat with a slightly more end-loaded feel and usually a lower price. The Mantra needs a 150-swing break-in; the Halo's lower-compression barrel does not.

Youth picks: the Eclipse -12 and Kraze -13 for 8- to 11-year-olds; the Ombre -11 and Alo 78 -12 as a step up.
