Description
The TA7 is Tim Anderson's Pro Reserve turn, and it is shaped like his swing: a large 2.52" barrel on a medium .95" handle with a flared knob, weighted toward the end so the barrel does the work once the hands start it. Victus describes it as a bat with a ton of whip for "handsy" hitters, and that is the honest read — it is not a balanced contact stick, it is a barrel you let go of through the zone.
Victus cuts it from birch, which sits between ash and maple: harder than ash, with more flex than maple, and it tends to get harder with use rather than flaking. Pro Reserve bats get Victus' ProPACT finish and are cut from big-league-grade, ink-dot-certified wood — the same grading the pros' bats get. The colorway is a gloss natural handle with a gloss black barrel and a cupped end. Sizes run 31" through 34" at approximately -3, and Victus backs Pro Reserve with a 60-day warranty, which is rare for a wood bat.

FAQ
Does a wood bat have a warranty?
No — wood bats carry no breakage warranty from any manufacturer, including this one. Hitting with the label up or down (grain facing the pitcher) and avoiding cage balls in cold weather is the best protection.
Maple, ash or birch?
Maple is the hardest and densest — the most pop and the most popular, but it can shatter on a bad mishit. Ash is lighter with more flex and the traditional feel; it flakes rather than snaps. Birch sits between the two: nearly as hard as maple with some of ash's flex, and it gets harder as you hit with it.
What size should I get?
The TA7 runs about -3 and swings heavier than that number suggests because of the end load. Most hitters should take the same length they swing in BBCOR or one inch shorter; the 32.5" is a good middle ground for a 33" metal-bat swinger.
