Does a wood bat have a warranty?
No — wood bats carry no breakage warranty from any manufacturer, including this one. Hitting with the label up or down (grain facing the pitcher) and avoiding cage balls in cold weather is the best protection.
Maple, ash or birch?
Maple is the hardest and densest — the most pop and the most popular, but it can shatter on a bad mishit. Ash is lighter with more flex and the traditional feel; it flakes rather than snaps. Birch sits between the two: nearly as hard as maple with some of ash's flex, and it gets harder as you hit with it.
What size should I get?
Size for bat speed first — a bat you can swing quickly beats a heavier one you drag through the zone. If you're between sizes, most players do better with the shorter/lighter option.
