Victus YI13 Pro Reserve Youth Birch Wood Baseball Bat VYRWBYI13-NBK
Description
The YI13 is Victus' youth version of the I13, one of the most popular pro turns in the game. The barrel is 2 1/4" in diameter but long for its size, the handle is thin, the knob is slightly flared, and the balance point sits a little toward the end — a subtle end load that gives a young hitter more mass in the barrel without making the bat feel heavy. It swings around -6 to -8 depending on length, which puts it in the normal range for a youth wood bat.
It is cut from birch, the wood we recommend most for kids: harder than ash so it holds up, but with more give than maple, so mis-hits are less punishing on the hands and the bat is less prone to cracking on a jam shot. Pro Reserve bats carry Victus' ProPACT finish, and this one comes in a natural handle with a black barrel and a very shallow cup. Sizes run 27" through 31". Wood is not certified the way metal bats are — check your league's wood-bat rule — but it is approved for Little League play.

FAQ
Does a wood bat have a warranty?
No — wood bats carry no breakage warranty from any manufacturer, including this one. Hitting with the label up or down (grain facing the pitcher) and avoiding cage balls in cold weather is the best protection.
Maple, ash or birch?
Maple is the hardest and densest — the most pop and the most popular, but it can shatter on a bad mishit. Ash is lighter with more flex and the traditional feel; it flakes rather than snaps. Birch sits between the two: nearly as hard as maple with some of ash's flex, and it gets harder as you hit with it.
What size should I get?
Match the length of the player's metal bat or go one inch shorter — a 29" for most 10-year-olds, 30" for 11, 31" for 12. Wood is less forgiving than metal, so a size the player can control matters more than reach.
Is it covered by a warranty?
Yes — a full 45 days Victus manufacturer warranty against breakage and defects, honored through us as an authorized dealer.
