Last year's youth baseball bats at closeout prices. This is the rack to check first if your player is between 6 and 13: a closeout Marucci CAT X or CAT Connect, Victus Nox or Axe Avenge is the same bat that was full price twelve months ago, and kids outgrow bats faster than they wear them out.

Most of the closeout youth rack is USSSA 1.15 BPF for travel ball, with a handful of USA Baseball bats for Little League and rec ball. Drops run -5, -8, -10 and -11, so check the stamp your league requires and the length your player is swinging now before you pick.

Closeout Youth Baseball Bats

Buying a closeout youth bat

Youth bats change paint more often than they change performance. The main thing to get right is the certification: USA Baseball for Little League, Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth and PONY; USSSA 1.15 BPF for travel ball. A bat can carry either stamp, and some carry both, but a USSSA bat is not legal in Little League and a USA bat gives up performance in USSSA play. The listing title tells you which one you are looking at.

On sizing, resist buying up. A closeout is cheap enough that you can buy the right length now and another one next year instead of handing a 12-year-old a 32" bat to grow into.
