The Fastpitch Softball pattern at 13" is a true do-everything glove — deep enough for the grass, controlled enough for the dirt. The single-post, double-bar web is first-base tradition — a big, forgiving target that scoops errant throws. The Ghost NX carries Easton's biggest fastpitch name onto the dirt: fastpitch-specific patterns with softball-deep pockets, a female-fit hand opening and game-ready leather that doesn't demand a month of mallet work. How much break-in does it need?
Two to four weeks of catch — this is pro-grade leather that is stiff on purpose and holds its pocket for years. A little glove conditioner on the pocket and laces helps; skip the oven, microwave and shaving cream.
Is 13" the right size?
13" is an utility pattern. As a guide: infield 11.25" to 11.75", pitcher and utility 11.75" to 12", outfield 12.5" to 12.75", catcher's mitts 32" to 34", first base 12.5" to 13". Fastpitch patterns run a quarter inch bigger than baseball for the 12" ball. Buy the size that fits now, not the one to grow into.
