The R9 is the Rawlings glove we send most 12- to 16-year-olds home with. It uses the same pro patterns as Heart of the Hide in a softer, pre-oiled leather with an 80% factory break-in, so it is game-ready in days instead of weeks and costs about a third of the price. We stock the baseball infield and outfield patterns, catcher's mitts and first base mitts, the fastpitch R9 in 11.75" to 12.5" and the 33" fastpitch catcher's mitt, plus the Contour Fit versions cut narrower at the wrist for smaller hands.
