Description
The 303 pattern at 12.75" is extra length and a deep pocket to run balls down and keep them caught. The Pro H web brings the stability outfielders and third basemen trust — strong on the ball, open enough to see through against the sky. This is real Heart of the Hide — the same top-five-percent steerhide Rawlings puts on major league infields — cut on fastpitch-specific patterns with deeper pockets and hand openings built for the softball game. Underneath: a heart of the hide traditional shell, Shell Leather Palm lining, a pull strap back. Cut on an adjustable fit. It asks for a real break-in and repays it with years of shape. Available in right- and left-hand throw.

How much break-in does it need?
Two to four weeks of catch — this is pro-grade leather that is stiff on purpose and holds its pocket for years. A little glove conditioner on the pocket and laces helps; skip the oven, microwave and shaving cream.
Is 12.75" the right size?
12.75" is an outfield pattern. As a guide: infield 11.25" to 11.75", pitcher and utility 11.75" to 12", outfield 12.5" to 12.75", catcher's mitts 32" to 34", first base 12.5" to 13". Fastpitch patterns run a quarter inch bigger than baseball for the 12" ball. Buy the size that fits now, not the one to grow into.
