Senior softball bats carry the SSUSA stamp and are built for the 50-and-over leagues that play under Senior Softball USA rules: thinner walls, hotter out of the wrapper, and not legal in USSSA, USA/ASA, NSA or ISA play. Senior Softball Bats

Why senior bats are different: SSUSA allows a higher performance limit than the other sanctioning bodies, so manufacturers build senior bats with thinner barrel walls. That is why they are hot from the first swing, why they are not legal elsewhere, and why most carry no warranty; the walls are closer to their limit.

Choosing one: most senior hitters go end-loaded in 26 to 28 oz; a balanced Ultra Gamer or Tantrum suits players who have lost some bat speed. Check the SSUSA stamp on the barrel and confirm your league's approved-bat list.
