Description
Big Stick Elite is the Rawlings wood line built, in Rawlings' words, on a heritage of trusted profiles, and the 271 is a proven all-around turn. This one has a 2.56" barrel on a .92" handle with a flared knob and a cupped end, and it swings slightly end-loaded: a little more barrel feel than a balanced bat, without the heavy end of a true power turn.
The maple comes from hand-picked billets and is Pro Ink Dot certified, the grain-slope test MLB uses to approve bats. The finish is a bright mint and pink. Sizes run 31" to 34" at approximately -3, and most of our stock is 34". Like other solid wood bats, it carries no manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
Does a wood bat have a warranty?
No — wood bats carry no breakage warranty from any manufacturer, including this one. Hitting with the label up or down (grain facing the pitcher) and avoiding cage balls in cold weather is the best protection.
Maple, ash or birch?
Maple is the hardest and densest — the most pop and the most popular, but it can shatter on a bad mishit. Ash is lighter with more flex and the traditional feel; it flakes rather than snaps. Birch sits between the two: nearly as hard as maple with some of ash's flex, and it gets harder as you hit with it.
What size should I get?
Approximately -3. Most of our stock is 34", a length for big high-school, college and adult hitters. If you swing a 33" BBCOR, a 34" wood bat will feel noticeably heavier.
