All Star Pro Elite Youth Baseball Catcher's Mitt 31.5" CM3000BTJR — steerhide, 31.5" catcher pattern, two-piece closed web, right-hand throw.
Description
The CM3000BTJR is the true junior-size version of All Star's Pro Elite CM3000, the line All Star builds for the highest level of play. It uses Japanese-tanned U.S. steerhide in the Pro Elite style: a soft tan palm and pocket for pop, with a stiffer black back for structure. The pocket is extended with a profiled toe, and the web is a reinforced two-piece closed web.
Padded outside-finger protection guards the hand, and an open back with a Velcro wrist strap sets the fit. It's a pro-pattern mitt for a young catcher with serious ambitions. This model has been discontinued, and we have limited stock in right-hand throw.

How much break-in does it need?
Some. The steerhide pocket is soft, but the black back is stiff by design, so plan on a couple of weeks of catch to shape it.
Is 31.5" the right size?
31.5" is All Star's youth catcher size, right for most 9- to 12-year-olds. Move to a 33"–33.5" pattern around 13.
Do you have it in left-hand throw?
This model is stocked in right-hand throw only. Wherever All Star makes a left-hand version we list it as a separate Hand option.
