The Avenge Pro Power is a special-edition three-piece composite that Axe built to run right up to the USSSA limit. The barrel is Charged Carbon Max, Axe's highest-performance carbon layup, in what it calls a Power Design — barrel performance that keeps increasing toward the end of the bat — with the lowest barrel compression Axe has shipped, meaning it is hot out of the wrapper rather than after a hundred swings. ShieldBoost layering backs it up for durability, and a second-generation HyperWhip end cap trims the far end. Despite the name, Axe is clear that this is not an end-loaded bat: it is ultra-balanced, the lightest USSSA swing the company has ever made.

This -8 wears the Power Flared Axe handle — the youth version of the handle Axe's pro, college and high-school players use, with a subtle angle and oval for grip freedom — with Shock Suspension at the connection to intercept vibration. It is finished in a bright neon-yellow barrel with a textured "dragonskin" end and a custom GOAT grip found only on this bat. 2 3/4" barrel, USSSA 1.15 BPF, one-year warranty. The -8 is the drop for 11- to 12-year-olds who have outgrown a -10 but aren't yet in 13U.
