Description
The Hot Metal -8 is for the 11- to 12-year-old who has started fouling off pitches he used to square up on a -10. Two more ounces of barrel is the fix, and Mizuno's one-piece Hot Metal alloy makes those ounces easy to carry: the stronger aluminum runs thinner walls for more pop, and CorTech varies the wall thickness across the barrel to widen the sweet spot and lower the M.O.I., so the bat swings lighter than a -8 built on a plain alloy would.
The optimized end cap adds sweet spot and the loud contact Mizuno bats are known for, and the Speed-Helix grip sets the hands. Sizes run 30" through 32" in grey and orange with a 2 3/4" barrel, the USSSA stamp and a one-year Mizuno warranty.
