2024 Mizuno B24 Hot Metal Youth USSSA Baseball Bat -5oz 340644
Description
USSSA 13U rules require a -5, and the Hot Metal -5 delivers it in Mizuno's one-piece, single-wall Hot Metal alloy. The stronger aluminum lets Mizuno run thinner barrel walls than a standard alloy, and CorTech varies that thickness across the barrel to widen the sweet spot and pull the M.O.I. down — which is exactly what a -5 needs, because the extra mass is unavoidable and the trick is keeping it swingable. The optimized end cap adds sweet spot and sound.
A 13-year-old who came up on the Hot Metal -10 or -8 gets the same bat, heavier, which makes the transition to the -5 year less jarring. Sizes run 30" through 32" in grey and orange with a 2 3/4" barrel, the USSSA stamp and a one-year Mizuno warranty. It is also a fair choice for a strong 12-year-old getting a season of -5 swings before BBCOR.
