Description
The Alpha 360 Junior Big Barrel is a one-piece alloy bat sized for the coach-pitch years, when a 2 3/4" barrel and a -10 drop give a 5- to 7-year-old the most forgiving target possible. The barrel is Easton's ATAC alloy — Advanced Thermal Alloy Construction reinforced with Carbon-Core technology — with 360 Engineering, Easton's process of tuning wall thickness all the way around the barrel for the thinnest walls it can build. It is speed balanced, with the barrel length and balance point set for a quick swing rather than mass.
A Spoked end cap keeps the far end light, and the cushioned 2.2mm Flex grip is soft enough for small hands. The 27"/17oz size in stock is the common coach-pitch length for a 6- or 7-year-old. USSSA 1.15 BPF stamped, one-year Easton warranty. Junior Big Barrel bats are built for coach pitch and machine pitch, not for kid pitch much above 40 mph.

What size should I get?
27" fits most 6–7-year-olds; a 5-year-old or a small 6-year-old is usually a 25" or 26". The bat should be light enough to swing level, not just long enough to reach the plate.
