Description
The B24 Hot Metal BBCOR is a one-piece, single-wall aluminum bat built on two Mizuno ideas. The first is the Hot Metal alloy itself, a stronger aluminum that lets Mizuno run thinner barrel walls — thinner walls mean more trampoline and more distance without giving up durability. The second is CorTech, which varies the wall thickness across the barrel to widen the sweet spot and lower the moment of inertia at the same time; Mizuno's claim is more power, more forgiveness and a faster swing from the same bat. An optimized end cap adds a bigger sweet spot and the booming sound Mizuno is known for.
Because it is one piece, the feedback is direct and the swing is consistent from hit to hit — there is no connection piece to change the feel — and the Speed-Helix grip keeps the hands set. Sizes run 31" through 34" in a black-and-orange finish, with a 2 5/8" barrel, -3, BBCOR certification for NCAA and NFHS play and a one-year Mizuno warranty.
