The Mav1 is Easton's one-piece alloy bat: a stiff, traditional feel, a balanced swing and a price a long way under the composite Hype Fire. The 2026 Mav1 Flash uses the MAV HP alloy barrel with XLD (Extra-Long Draw) shaping that thins the walls for a bigger sweet spot, plus the Flow-Tack grip and Power Boost soft knob. The tee ball and older Mav1 models are ALX100 aluminum with a concave end cap. Every Mav1 carries a one-year warranty.

What is here: USSSA Flash models in -5, -8 and -10 with the 2 3/4" barrel, a -3 BBCOR Flash, a Junior Big Barrel -10 for coach pitch, and -11 USA tee ball bats with the 2 1/4" barrel. You will find 2025 and 2026 models. Prices run from about $45 for tee ball to about $350 at the top.

One-piece alloy: when it is the right choice

A one-piece alloy bat has no joint and no composite to fuss over. It is stiff, it gives instant feedback, it is ready on day one and it does not care about cold weather. For a first travel-ball season, a player who is still learning to find the barrel, or a family that does not want to spend $300, the Mav1 Flash is the sensible Easton. The XLD barrel gets more of the barrel working than the older alloy bats did, and the -5 Flash is a good last bat before high school. The BBCOR Flash is the same idea for the high school player who wants a light-swinging alloy with a classic feel.

The Mav1 tee ball bats are the lightest thing here, -11 with a 2 1/4" barrel, USA stamped for Little League, Pony, Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth, AABC and Dixie.

Frequently asked questions

Mav1 or Hype Fire? The Hype Fire is a two-piece composite with a bigger sweet spot and less sting; the Mav1 is a one-piece alloy that costs far less and needs no care. If the player is competitive and strong enough to use the composite barrel, buy the Hype Fire; otherwise the Mav1 is plenty.

What drop should I pick? -10 for coach pitch through about 10U, -8 for 10U to 12U, -5 for a strong 12U or 13U hitter, -3 BBCOR for high school. Remember 14U USSSA moved to BBCOR in 2026.

Is there a warranty? Yes, one year from Easton on every Mav1.

Is the Mav1 USA or USSSA? The Flash models are USSSA 1.15 BPF; the BBCOR model is BBCOR; the tee ball models are USA Baseball stamped. There is no USA Baseball Mav1 for kid pitch on the rack.
