Asura is Marucci's fastpitch line. The original Asura is a two-piece composite with a mid-balanced swing built for quick hands and a connected feel. The 2026 Asura Lux is a seamless one-piece composite with EVolve composite, Gap Sync internals, an optimized flex handle and a TFX endcap, with extra barrel length at no added swing weight. The 2027 Asura Rise introduces Rise Sync Barrel Technology, an elongated inner barrel suspended inside the outer wall that extends the active hitting zone by up to ten percent; the Lux Rise rebuilds that as a one-piece with an even longer straight barrel. The Asura Alloy and Rise Alloy are the one-piece aluminum entry bats.

Drops run -8, -9, -10, -11 and -12 in 27" to 34", certified USA Softball (ASA), USSSA, NSA, ISA and WBSC, with 2026 and 2027 models plus the Berry Crush purple limited edition. Prices run from about $80 to $480.

How the Asura models differ

The two-piece Asura is the all-rounder: composite barrel, connected handle, mid-balanced weight, and the vibration reduction a two-piece gives you. The Lux moves to a one-piece composite for direct energy transfer and a mid-loaded balance that suits both contact and power hitters, with the longer barrel and TFX endcap whipping through the zone. The Rise is the forgiveness play: because the inner barrel floats rather than being stacked into the walls, a ball caught inside or off the end recovers faster and stays lively instead of dying. The Lux Rise gets the same suspended barrel in a one-piece layout with a longer straight barrel, since there's no connection hardware to house.

The Asura Alloy and Rise Alloy are the -12 entry bats: one piece of aluminum, ring-free so the barrel flexes along its full length, balanced so a -12 plays like a -12, with a 1.75 mm Soft-Touch grip.

Frequently asked questions

What certifications? The composite Asura models carry USA Softball (ASA), USSSA, NSA, ISA and WBSC; the alloys carry USA Softball, USSSA, NSA, ISA and WBSC as well. Check the title for the exact stamp set.

Break-in? Composite Asura, Lux and Rise models want a couple hundred swings before they play their best. The alloys are ready day one.

Which drop? -12 for younger and lighter players, -11 and -10 for most travel hitters, -9 and -8 for strong high school and college hitters who want mass in the barrel.

Warranty? One-year manufacturer warranty from Marucci.
