Marucci Pro Model Wood Bats

(43 products)

Marucci Pro Model and Pro Exclusive wood bats are the turns Marucci cuts for big leaguers, sold to the public at the same specs. They're top-quality maple (a few in birch), bone-rubbed for surface hardness, finished in Marucci's PRO-X coat, and ink-dot certified to big-league grade. Each model is a player's actual profile: the M71 is the classic thin-handle, balanced contact turn; the AP5 (Pujols) is a thick end-loaded power barrel; the LINDY12 (Lindor) is a thin-handle scalpel with a medium barrel; the MARTIAN (Dominguez) is a long, large barrel with a real end load. Torpedo versions of the AP5 and LINDY12 shift mass into the sweet spot.

The wall covers adult 31" to 34" models and youth 27" to 31" cuts of the AB2 (Bregman), AM22 and AP5, with new 2027 Pro Exclusives from JJ Wetherholt (JJW) and Konnor Griffin (KG01) and a birch M71. Prices run from about $50 to $190.

Marucci Pro Model Wood Bats

Picking a pro model turn

Wood bats are all about the profile. A balanced, thin-handle turn like the M71, KG01, JJW or TVT is the friendliest place to start, especially for a hitter coming over from aluminum: neutral swing weight, nothing fighting your hands, and a medium barrel that forgives timing. End-loaded turns like the AP5, MARTIAN and FREEMAN5 put mass behind the ball and reward a strong hitter who can get the barrel there. The RIZZ44 splits the difference with a large barrel and a mid-balanced feel.

Marucci bone-rubs every bat, which compresses the maple's surface for a harder hitting face, and the PRO-X finish and ink dot are the same as the big-league product. Birch flexes where maple cracks, so the birch M71 suits a hitter still earning barrel accuracy.

Frequently asked questions

Maple or birch? Maple is harder and louder and is what most pros swing. Birch has some give and is more forgiving of off-center contact while a hitter learns wood.

What is a Pro Exclusive? A player's exact game-day turn, engraved with their signature, versus a Pro Model, which is a Marucci house profile. Both are cut from the same wood to the same standards.

Which length? Most adult hitters are on a 32" or 33". Youth cuts run 27" to 31".

Can a youth player use these? Yes. The Youth AB2, AM22 and AP5 are scaled-down versions of the adult profiles in maple for young hitters ready to swing real wood.
