The Miken Ultra is a senior slowpitch bat, built for SSUSA and ISA play where the performance windows are wider than USSSA. The 2026 Ultra Gamer series runs E-Flex 360+ barrel technology, Miken's composite barrel construction with C-4 carbon fiber, on a two-piece frame with a Super Flex handle. Miken offers it three ways: Maxload (.5 oz end load), Supermax (a full 1 oz end load, the most aggressive bat in the line) and Balanced.

On the rack are the 2026 Ultra Gamer Maxload and Supermax with 13.5" barrels, the Mike Dill signature Balanced with a 13.5" barrel, the Johnny Bailey signature Maxload with a compact 12" barrel, and the 2025 one-piece Johnny Bailey Maxload. All are 34" in 25 to 28 oz and stamped SSUSA and ISA. Prices run from about $200 to $250.

Three loads, two barrel lengths

The Ultra Gamer Maxload is the all-rounder: a 13.5" E-Flex 360+ barrel with a half-ounce end load, for the senior player who still expects to drive the ball. The Supermax puts a full ounce on the end and starts its weights at 26 oz, for the strongest hitters in SSUSA and ISA who want maximum barrel momentum. The Mike Dill Balanced is the opposite philosophy: same barrel, no end load, built for the disciplined hitter who wins with fast hands and control.

The Johnny Bailey models shorten the barrel to 12" and keep the Maxload. That is Bailey's own combination for hitters who generate power through quick hands rather than a long sweeping swing, and the 2026 two-piece version comes in four weights, 25 to 28 oz. The 2025 Bailey is a one-piece if you prefer the stiffer, connected feel.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Ultra legal in my senior league? It carries the SSUSA (Senior Softball USA) and ISA stamps. It is a senior bat, not a USSSA or USA Softball (ASA) bat, and it should not be used in those leagues.

Does it need a break-in? It is a composite barrel, so give it 100 to 200 hits with a quarter-turn rotation between swings before judging it, and keep it out of the cold.

Maxload, Supermax or Balanced? Most senior hitters are best in the Maxload. Choose Supermax only if you already swing a 27 or 28 oz bat comfortably. Choose Balanced if bat speed and contact are your game.

What is the warranty? One year from Miken.
