Mizuno CRBN Softball Bats

(11 products)

CRBN is Mizuno's carbon-barrel fastpitch line. The F25 CRBN Pro is the top of the range: a full carbon fiber barrel in Black Onyx Carbon, a Dual Frequency Dampener to cut vibration, and a balanced feel, built for -8, -9, -10 and -11 drops. The 2026 CRBN X is Mizuno's first one-piece Detonator COR fastpitch design, a single-piece composite with a connected feel and the Detonator COR barrel behind it. Earlier CRBN1 and CRBN2 bats are the same carbon barrel idea in one-piece and two-piece form, and the CRBN1 Peach Ice Cream is a limited color run.

Every CRBN has a 2 1/4" barrel and carries the USA Softball (ASA), USSSA, NSA, ISA and WBSC stamps, so it is legal in essentially every fastpitch league. The rack covers 2024, 2025 and 2026 models in 28" to 34" lengths, and prices run from about $294 for a closeout F23 PWR CRBN to $450 for the CRBN Pro in the heavier drops.

If you are shopping fastpitch bats across brands, the Easton Ghost leads that conversation; see fastpitch softball bats, the Mizuno fastpitch bats hub, or closeout fastpitch bats for last year's CRBN.

Mizuno CRBN Softball Bats

CRBN Pro, CRBN X, CRBN1 and CRBN2

The CRBN Pro is the bat for a serious travel or high school fastpitch player. Its full carbon barrel is built to break in quickly and hold its pop, and the Dual Frequency Dampener keeps hand sting down. It is the only CRBN offered in a -11 for younger players and in -8 and -9 for stronger hitters who want a heavier swing. The CRBN X is the newest design, a one-piece Detonator COR build that gives a stiffer, more connected feel than the two-piece Pro; it is one product with -8, -9 and -10 drops selected by size. The CRBN1 is a one-piece full carbon bat and the CRBN2 is the two-piece with NanoAlloy and the Dual Frequency Dampener; both are earlier generations and are priced accordingly.

Frequently asked questions

Which drop should a fastpitch player swing? -11 for younger or smaller players, -10 for most 12U to high school hitters, -9 and -8 for strong varsity and college players who want more mass behind the ball.

Is the CRBN legal for my league? Yes, for nearly all of them: USA Softball (ASA), USSSA, NSA, ISA and WBSC stamps are on every model.

Does it need a break-in? The CRBN Pro is designed to be ready out of the wrapper, but all composites improve over the first 100 to 200 swings. Rotate the bat a quarter turn each hit and avoid cold-weather use.

What is the warranty? One year from Mizuno.
