Rawlings Heart of the Hide Catcher's Mitt 33" PRORCM33-23CBP — 33" catcher pattern, 1-Piece Solid, Right-hand throw.
Description
At 33" it is built for receiving — shaped to frame borderline strikes, funnel balls in the dirt and survive a season of bullpens. The one-piece solid web is catcher's-mitt standard — maximum strength where the ball arrives hardest. Some gloves are bought; Heart of the Hide gloves tend to be inherited. Rawlings reserves the top five percent of its steerhides for this line, which is why an HOH holds its pocket long after cheaper leather has gone soft. Underneath: a heart of the hide pro grade shell, Cowhide Palm lining, a conventional back. Cut on a pro fit. It breaks in slow and honest, and it holds the shape you give it for years. Available right-hand throw only.

How much break-in does it need?
Two to four weeks of catch — this is pro-grade leather that is stiff on purpose and holds its pocket for years. A little glove conditioner on the pocket and laces helps; skip the oven, microwave and shaving cream.
Is 33" the right size?
33" is a catcher pattern. As a guide: infield 11.25" to 11.75", pitcher and utility 11.75" to 12", outfield 12.5" to 12.75", catcher's mitts 32" to 34", first base 12.5" to 13". Buy the size that fits now, not the one to grow into.
Do you have it in left-hand throw?
This model is stocked in right-hand throw only. Wherever Rawlings makes a left-hand version we list it as a separate Hand option.
