Liberty Advanced is the Rawlings fastpitch glove built for the 12" ball: full-grain leather with a Poron XRD palm pad, a wider pocket than the baseball patterns, and the ColorSync colorways that change every season. It is the most popular fastpitch glove we sell for high school and travel players, priced from $129.99 to $229.99.

We carry the 11.75", 12", 12.25", 12.5" and 12.75" fielder's patterns, the 33" and 34" catcher's mitts and the 13" first base mitt, in the current ColorSync releases and the core colors. Right hand throw on everything; left hand throw on most patterns as a separate option.

Sizing a fastpitch glove

  • Infield: 11.75" to 12.25"; the wider Liberty pocket handles the 12" ball without going long.
  • Pitcher: 12" to 12.5" with a closed web.
  • Outfield: 12.5" to 12.75".
  • Catcher: 33" for smaller catchers, 34" for most high school and adult catchers.
  • First base: 13".

ColorSync vs. core

ColorSync is a seasonal colorway program; each drop is a new set of colors on the same patterns, and when a colorway sells through it is not remade. The core black/tan and navy gloves stay in the line year to year. Same leather, same price; buy the ColorSync if you like the color and the core if you want a replacement to match later.

Break-in: a few days of catch. The leather is pre-conditioned and the Poron pad does not need time to settle.
