Description
At the top of the Rawlings wall sits Pro Preferred: kip leather shells with Pittards sheepskin lining, built lighter than steerhide and finished like the pro-issue gloves they are. The Pro H web brings the stability outfielders and third basemen trust — strong on the ball, open enough to see through against the sky. At 12.75" on the 303 pattern, it is built for the outfield: extra length and a deep pocket to run balls down and keep them caught. This is the Fernando Tatis Jr. model, styled after his gamer. Underneath: a kip leather shell, Pittards sheepskin lining, a conventional back. It's the glove Rawlings builds for players whose glove is a work tool. Available in right- and left-hand throw.

How much break-in does it need?
Two to four weeks of catch — this is pro-grade leather that is stiff on purpose and holds its pocket for years. A little glove conditioner on the pocket and laces helps; skip the oven, microwave and shaving cream.
Is 12.75" the right size?
12.75" is an outfield pattern. As a guide: infield 11.25" to 11.75", pitcher and utility 11.75" to 12", outfield 12.5" to 12.75", catcher's mitts 32" to 34", first base 12.5" to 13". Buy the size that fits now, not the one to grow into.
