Rawlings Wood Bats

(39 products)

Rawlings wood bats cover the whole ladder, from the $40 Adirondack (ash, hard maple or mixed-species blanks, the cheapest real wood bat we sell) up through the Big Stick Elite, the Player Preferred and the Pro Preferred, which is the same maple and birch that goes to Rawlings' MLB advisory players. Player turns include the Manny Machado MM13, Bryce Harper BH3, Ozzie Albies OA1 and Francisco Lindor FL12, plus new torpedo profiles in both Big Stick Elite and Pro Preferred.

The Big Stick Elite is the workhorse: pro-grade maple in the classic 110, 243 and 271 turns, cupped, around $100. Youth players get the same turns in the 162Y and 151Y at 27" to 30". Adult lengths run 31" to 34" including half sizes, and prices top out around $180 for a Pro Preferred.

Rawlings Wood Bats

Adirondack is Rawlings' practice-grade line in natural ash, black ash, 271 hard maple and mixed-species Pro blanks; it is the bat to buy for a kid's first wood bat or for a cage where bats get beaten up. Player Preferred is a step up in wood grade at a similar price. Big Stick Elite is the pro-grade maple most of our customers buy, with the widest choice of turns. Pro Preferred is the top of the line: hand-selected maple or birch, pro finish, player models, and the new torpedo shapes.

Rawlings numbers its turns the same way the industry does: 271 balanced all-purpose, 243 end-loaded big barrel, 110 thin handle and small barrel for contact hitters, I13 a long-barrel power turn.
