Rawlings BBCOR bats are led by the Icon, a two-piece composite that has become one of the top-selling BBCOR bats in the game, and the Clout AI, a one-piece alloy that gives an Icon-style swing at a lower price. Around them sit the Icon limited editions (Icon Fest, The Chosen ONE, Electric Unicorn) and the Mach AI hybrid.

All are -3, 2 5/8" and BBCOR .50 certified, in 30" to 34" including 33.5". Prices run from about $100 for the Clout AI to $450 for a limited-run Icon. New-year Rawlings bats release each September; the Icon collection has every Icon in every certification.

Rawlings BBCOR Bats

Icon is a two-piece composite with a balanced swing, a long barrel and a noticeably soft feel at contact. It needs the usual composite break-in, and it is the Rawlings bat that shows up most in high school lineups. The limited editions (Icon Fest, Chosen ONE, Electric Unicorn) are the same bat in a different finish and sell out within weeks of release.

Clout AI is the one-piece alloy: no break-in, stiff, balanced, and about a third of the price of an Icon. Mach AI is a two-piece hybrid with an alloy barrel and composite handle for hitters who want less sting without going full composite.

The "AI" in the name refers to Rawlings using machine-learned barrel profiles to tune wall thickness; in practice it means a longer sweet spot than the older 5150 and Velo alloys.
