Why a Lizard Skins grip?

The grip that comes on a new bat is usually the cheapest part of it — a thin synthetic wrap picked for cost, not feel. It gets slick when your hands sweat, packs down flat in a few weeks, and does nothing about the sting on a mishit. Swapping it for a Lizard Skins DSP Ultra is the biggest upgrade you can make to a bat for under $25, and it’s why you’ll see them on bats from Little League through the big leagues.

It stays tacky, wet or dry

DSP stands for Durable Soft Polymer. It has a slightly tacky surface, an oval pattern and multi-directional ridges that hold your hands in place through the swing whether it’s a humid July doubleheader or a wet April morning. Because the bat isn’t sliding, hitters stop death-gripping the handle — looser hands, quicker bat.

It takes the sting out

The polymer absorbs vibration on off-barrel contact instead of sending it into your hands. The thicker the grip, the more it dampens: 1.8 mm is the most cushion, 1.1 mm is the all-around favorite and our best seller, and 0.5 mm is the pro choice for wood bats when you want to feel everything.

It lasts

The reformulated DSP holds its texture season after season, and the premium adhesive keeps it locked to the handle instead of creeping or unraveling like a worn stock wrap. Every roll is 990 mm / 39 in with pre-cut ends and a finishing strip, and it fits wood, composite or aluminum.

It looks like your bat

80+ colorways — solids, camo, Outburst, patriotic, MLB team colors. Match your uniform or make your bat impossible to mix up in the dugout.

Five-minute install

On-grip markings show exactly where to start and stop. Peel the old grip, wrap the new one, tape the finish — no tools. Watch the install video.

CheapBats.com was the very first Lizard Skins dealer — our founder met theirs at a trade show, tried the grip, and we’ve carried it ever since. We still think it’s the best grip on the market.

2026 Miken Freak Whiteout Maxload USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat 2 Piece 13" Barrel

2026 Miken Freak Whiteout Maxload USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat 2 Piece 13" Barrel MSU6FWCL (MSU6FWCL) — The Miken Freak Maxload in a limited Whiteout finish — V2 Flex barrel, Midflex handle, half-ounce end load.

Description

The 2026 Miken Freak Whiteout Maxload is a two-piece composite USSSA slowpitch bat that puts a clean white-out colorway on the Freak platform. The 13-inch V2 Flex Barrel is joined to a Midflex handle for the flex-and-rebound feel the Freak is known for, and the Maxload build adds a half-ounce end load so the barrel carries more mass through contact. An A1 Knob finishes the bottom hand. Offered in 25 oz, 26 oz and 27 oz, approved for play in USSSA, ISA and NSA, and backed by a 1-year warranty.

This bat is part of the Freak line; shop the rest of our Miken slowpitch bats, or compare across brands — see all slowpitch softball bats.
