Easton Professional Youth Series Baseball Glove 10" PY10CB — Easton built the Professional Youth for the 8U player: a 10" I-web pattern that looks like the pro gloves, made light enough and soft enough for a 6-to-8-year-old to close on the ball. Right- or left-hand throw.
Description
The problem with most first gloves is that a small hand cannot close them. Easton solves it two ways: the shell is a soft genuine pigskin leather paired with an embossed Hyperlite synthetic back, so the glove weighs very little, and the Flex Notch closure — a hinge cut into the heel — lets it fold shut with a light squeeze. Extended finger gussets give the fingers more leverage on the ball. It is a real leather-palm glove that plays like one, at a weight a tee-baller can handle.

Pigskin Leather Palm, Hyperlite Synthetic Back
Soft pigskin in the palm where the ball lands, embossed Hyperlite synthetic on the back to keep the weight down — the combination is what lets a young player swing the glove around without tiring.
Flex Notch Closure
A notch cut into the heel of the palm acts as a hinge, so the glove closes with far less hand strength than a standard build. Extended finger gussets add a better fit and more leverage on the catch.
10" I-Web Pattern
10" is the right length for 6-to-8-year-olds. The I web is the classic infield web — open enough to see the ball into the pocket, and the shape the player will keep using as they move up.
