Description
The Liberty Advanced is Rawlings' top fastpitch line — a full-grain, oil-treated leather shell that is game-ready out of the box (about 80% factory broken-in), Poron XRD impact padding in the palm and index finger, all-leather laces, a modified H web with a reinforced crossbar, and a non-slip pull-strap back that cinches the narrow, fastpitch-specific hand opening down to your hand. It is the mitt Rawlings' sponsored college catchers wear, cut for the 12" ball.
33" or 34"?
The 33" mitt is the quicker of Rawlings' two fastpitch catcher's sizes — a touch less target than the 34" but faster to close and faster on the transfer, the size most high-school and travel catchers end up in.
The 34" mitt is the bigger of Rawlings' two fastpitch catcher's sizes — more target for the pitcher and a deeper pocket for blocking, the size most college and adult catchers end up in.
