Rawlings Select Pro Lite Baseball First Base Mitt 11.5" SPL115FF — the Select Pro Lite takes the look of a big-leaguer's gamer and builds it for a kid: this is the Freddie Freeman first base mitt, an 11.5" youth pattern in gray with royal lacing, on Rawlings' Youth Pro Taper fit. Right- or left-hand throw.
Description
Most youth first base mitts are stiff vinyl that never really closes. The Select Pro Lite is a lightweight, soft leather shell with all-leather lacing, palm and index-finger padding and a cushioned fingerback lining — it closes the first week and takes a short-hop without the sting. The Youth Pro Taper fit narrows the hand opening and finger stalls so a 7-to-11-year-old controls the mitt instead of wearing it.
Gray shell with royal blue lacing, royal binding and a red Rawlings patch — the colorway modeled on Freeman's gamer. The single-post, double-bar web is first base tradition: a wide, forgiving target for throws that come in low.
