Miken is the slowpitch brand: the Freak has been the most talked-about bat in the game for twenty years, and the KP23 (Kyle Pearson's model) is the best-selling slowpitch bat we carry. Both come in one-piece and two-piece builds, 12" to 14" barrels, Maxload or balanced, and in USSSA and USA Softball stamps, plus the Freak Gold, Freak Black, Super Freak Highlighter (SuperMax), KP23 Neon, Primo, Lucky 8 and JR9 variants.

For senior play, the Ultra Gamer line (Johnny Bailey, Mike Dill, Bob O'Brien HOF editions) carries the SSUSA 1.21 BPF stamp in Maxload, Supermax and balanced. Every Miken is 34" with a 2 1/4" barrel; prices run $180 to $300.

Miken Slowpitch Softball Bats

KP23 vs. Freak: the KP23 is the one-piece and two-piece Maxload family built for Kyle Pearson, with the widest barrel choice (12", 12.5", 12.75", 13", 14"); it is the bat to buy if you want the most end-loaded, longest-barreled USSSA bat in the game. The Freak is the two-piece flagship with a slightly softer feel and comes in balanced as well as Maxload, and in USA Softball versions for rec leagues. Super Freak and the Supermax loads move even more weight to the end for the biggest hitters. Primo and Lucky 8 are one-piece USSSA bats with a stiffer feel at a slightly lower price.

Maxload is Miken's name for a 1-ounce end load; Supermax is heavier still; Balanced is what it sounds like. Miken is a Rawlings brand and its bats carry a one-year warranty except where the listing says otherwise on senior bats.
