All Star The Flapjack Fielding Training Glove 29" FG200TM
Description
The Flapjack is All Star's take on the classic pancake training glove: a flat, stiff 29" pattern with no pocket to speak of, so a fielder has to receive the ball with two hands and give with it instead of trapping it. All Star added one thing a plain pancake doesn't have — a slight depression in the palm area that gives the player a target to aim the ball at, which builds pocket awareness while still forcing proper two-hand mechanics. It is stiff with no break-in, by design.
All Star built it for infielders and catchers working on soft hands, fielding fundamentals and transfer drills. A Velcro wrist closure makes it fast to trade between teammates during a drill, which is how most teams use it. Right-hand throw.

How is it different from a plain pancake glove?
The slight depression in the palm. A flat pancake teaches two-hand fielding but gives no feedback about where the ball hit; the Flapjack's depression gives the player a target and rewards centering the ball while keeping the flat, stiff feel.
Does it need break-in?
No — and don't try. It is meant to stay stiff.
