Mizuno's full-grain leather paddle for teaching fielding mechanics
Mizuno Pancake Paddle Training Glove 10" GXT3A 312592
Description
The Mizuno Training Paddle is a 10" flat-pocket training glove built from full-grain leather, designed to teach proper fielding mechanics while promoting quick, soft hands. With no real pocket, a fielder can't trap the ball — the ball has to be received out front and secured with the throwing hand, which is the two-hand fundamental every infield coach is trying to teach. The flat palm also gives honest feedback: catch it in the middle and it stays, catch it off-center and it doesn't.
Mizuno sells it alongside its 9" training glove and 30" training catcher's mitt as part of its baseball training line. Because it is real leather rather than a foam or plastic paddle, it lasts through seasons of daily drills. Right-hand throw.
Training tool, not a game glove — shop the rest of our Mizuno gloves and all our baseball gloves for game-day leather.

FAQ
Can a 9-year-old use it?
Yes — the 10" paddle fits small hands, and it's most effective when the mechanics are being learned. Start with rolled grounders and add short hops as the two-hand habit sets in.
Is it a game glove?
No. It's a training tool with no pocket; use it in drills and warm-ups, then switch to a game glove.
