Description
Prospect is Mizuno's youth series, and the feature that matters is PowerClose — a soft, pre-curved heel that lets a small hand shut the glove on the ball instead of fighting it. The shells are lightweight full-grain or soft synthetic leather with a V-Flex notch in the index finger to start the break-in, and the hand openings and finger stalls are cut to youth dimensions rather than shrunk-down adult ones.
Which size?
Ages 4–6 fit a 9"–10"; ages 6–8 a 10"–10.5"; ages 8–11 an 11"–11.5"; ages 11–13 an 11.5"–12". When in doubt, go smaller — a glove a kid can close is a glove that catches.
