What makes this a softball glove and not a baseball glove?
The pocket is cut deeper and wider for the 12" ball, the hand opening is narrower, and the pull-strap back adjusts to a smaller wrist. A baseball HOH in the same size will feel shallow with a softball.
How long does Heart of the Hide take to break in?
Longer than a soft game-ready glove — that is the point. Steaming, mallet work and plain catch all speed it along, and once it is shaped it stays shaped.
