Rawlings Pro Preferred Catcher's Mitt 34" PROSCM43C — Rawlings' top-of-the-line kip-leather glove. 34" CM43 pattern, 1-Piece Closed web, Camel.
Description
Pro Preferred is the top of the Rawlings line: full-grain kip leather, lighter and tighter-grained than steer-hide, with a Pittards sheepskin palm lining that manages sweat so the fit stays constant from April to August. 100% wool padding forms and holds the pocket, pro-grade leather laces and a padded thumb sleeve finish it, and every glove carries its own individual ID number.
All-camel shell, lacing and binding — the cleanest mitt in the line.

Full-Grain Kip Leather, Pittards Lining
Kip is the leather pros ask for: lighter than steer-hide, tighter in the grain, and it breaks in to a pocket that stays exactly where you formed it. The Pittards sheepskin palm lining wicks sweat so the glove feels the same in the seventh inning as it did in the first, and the 100% wool padding holds the shape season after season.

What is the difference between Pro Preferred and Heart of the Hide?
Leather. Heart of the Hide is U.S. steer-hide — stiff, heavy, a long break-in. Pro Preferred is kip: lighter, tighter-grained, faster to break in, and it holds the pocket you form. Pro Preferred also adds the Pittards sheepskin lining and an individual ID number.
How long does a Pro Preferred glove take to break in?
Faster than Heart of the Hide but still a real break-in — a few weeks of catch and mallet work. Kip is soft out of the box in the fingers and firms up in the pocket as the wool padding sets.
Is this the right pattern for my position?
