Description
Description
The D-OB is Diamond's economy leather baseball for backyard and recreational practice
Diamond D-OB Official League Economy Practice Baseballs - 2 to 10 Dozen
Description
The D-OB is the lowest-priced leather baseball in Diamond's line. It has a solid cork composition core and a leather cover, with no yarn winding, and Diamond marks it for recreational use only. Diamond's economy balls are also not rated for pitching machine use.
Think of it as the ball for catch in the yard, tee work with young players and coaches who need a bucket of leather balls they will not mind losing over the fence. When you want a ball for actual games, the DOL-1 OL adds a cork-and-rubber core and yarn winding for not much more.
Sold in any quantity from 2 dozen (24 balls) up to a full 10-dozen case (120 balls). Browse every Diamond baseball we stock on one page, or see all Little League baseballs.
Solid Cork Composition Core
a one-piece cork center that keeps the price down on a ball meant for volume practice
Leather Cover
real leather rather than synthetic, at an economy price
Not for Pitching Machines
Diamond does not rate this ball for machine use; see the DMBP for that
Recreational Use Only
Diamond's rating for the D-OB; it is a practice ball, not a game ball
2 Dozen or Full Case
two boxes of 12 taped together, or a 10-dozen case of 120
Who This Ball Is Built For

FAQ
Can I use the D-OB in a pitching machine?
No. Diamond lists its economy balls as not suitable for pitching machine use.
Is it a real leather ball?
Yes, it has a leather cover over a solid cork composition core.
Why no single dozen?
Baseballs ship free, and a single dozen does not cover the freight. Two dozen is the minimum; a full case is the best price per ball.
