Description
The DOL-1 OL is Diamond's workhorse Official League baseball. The catalog lists it for youth game play and high school practice, and that is exactly how most programs use it: a real leather, yarn-wound ball with a cork-and-rubber core that costs little enough to fill a bucket.
It is the same build as the DOL-1 HS minus the NOCSAE and NFHS stamps, so if you do not need a sanctioned ball, this is the better buy. For a softer, tournament-grade center in the same price range look at the DOL-A OL line, and for machine work use the DMBP, which has the reinforced seam a pitching machine needs.

Is the DOL-1 OL a game ball?
Diamond rates it for youth game play and high school practice. It is not NOCSAE certified for high school games.
Can I use it in a pitching machine?
Diamond's economy balls are not rated for machines, and the DOL-1 is a regular-seam ball. The DMBP is built for machine use.
Why no single dozen?
Baseballs ship free, and a single dozen does not cover the freight. Two dozen is the minimum; a full case is the best price per ball.
