Rawlings Mach AI Baseball Bats

The Mach AI is Rawlings' hybrid bat: a one-piece Red Alloy+ aluminum barrel whose inner wall was shaped with generative design software that simulated thousands of wall variations and tuned the barrel a quarter inch at a time. A 3/4" carbon composite end cap pulls weight off the end so the swing weight sits over the handle and taper, giving a balanced swing without giving up barrel mass. It comes with a RevGrip handle.

The rack has USSSA models in -10 and a 2025 youth model, a BBCOR -3 in 33" and 34", and a closeout 2024 USA -10 in 31". All carry a 2 5/8" barrel. Prices run from about $96 to $180.

What a hybrid gets you

An alloy barrel is hot out of the wrapper and does not need break-in; the composite end cap is where the Mach AI differs from a plain alloy bat. Removing end weight lets Rawlings keep the barrel walls where the software put them while the bat still swings light, which is the trade most alloy bats cannot make. The one-piece construction gives a stiff, direct feel at contact.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Mach AI a one-piece or two-piece bat? One-piece. The barrel and handle are a single alloy piece; the carbon composite is only in the end cap.

Which leagues can I use it in? The USA model carries the USA Baseball stamp, the USSSA models carry the 1.15 BPF stamp, and the BBCOR -3 is for high school and college.

Does it need break-in? No. Alloy barrels are ready to hit from the first swing.

Is the closeout 2024 USA model any different? It is the prior year's paint on the same Red Alloy+ barrel, generative AI wall design and composite end cap, marked down because it has been replaced by a newer year. Nothing used or blemished.
