The DPL is the top of Diamond's PONY line. It is tournament grade with a cushioned cork center, a yarn winding and a premium full-grain leather cover, and it carries the PONY League stamp. Compared with the DPL-1 competition ball it has the softer, more consistent center and the higher grade of leather.
Buy the DPL for PONY tournaments and for leagues that want their game ball to last through a doubleheader. The DPL-1 is the regular-season workhorse at a lower price.
