Fastpitch: which Ghost?

  • Ghost OG – two-piece Double Barrel composite; the bat fastpitch is measured against. -8, -9, -10, -11. Dual stamp (USA Softball, USSSA, NSA, ISA, WBSC).
  • Ghost Advanced – lighter connection and swing weight than the OG; for hitters who want a quicker bat.
  • Ghost Unlimited – the softest, most forgiving Ghost; for contact hitters and younger players.
  • Amethyst – Easton's -9 and -10 one-piece alternative.

Slowpitch: Tantrum, Alpha, Empire

The Tantrum is a two-piece composite in balanced and end-loaded, 12.75" and 13" barrels, with USSSA and USA/ASA versions. The Alpha is the one-piece for hitters who want a stiff bat. The Empire is the senior (SSUSA) bat. Read the stamp on each listing: USSSA bats are not legal in USA/ASA leagues and vice versa.

Does the Ghost need a break-in? Yes, 150 to 200 swings. It gets noticeably hotter after the first week.

Which Ghost drop? -10 for most 12- to 15-year-olds, -9 or -8 for high school and college power hitters, -11 for younger or smaller players.
